Since 1886, the wool and cotton Greek Fisherman caps and Captain caps has been hand made in an ancient town outside Athens, Greece. For the past 27 years, the Aegean Company has been transporting the caps to San Francisco and supplying retailers throughout North America. Aegean is the only authentic Greek Fisherman’s Cap Company in the USA. While the Greek Fisherman is a well known character of the Western World, one does not need to be Greek, or a fisherman, to wear these caps. Captain caps are primarily made of two materials: wool and cotton. The wool captain cap is available in black and navy, while the cotton is only available in white. These Captain caps have an embroidered cover and visor, and a braided cord in front that attaches to matching buttons.

Both caps are made from high-quality cowhide leather and trimmed with satin lining, embodying a time-honored tradition of manufacturing excellence and outstanding craftsmanship. The leather Greek Fisherman is available in black and brown for the winter time. The Fiddler cap is constructed similar to the famous Greek Fisherman cap, however it does not have some of the trimmings typical of the Greek Fisherman cap. Leather, wool and cotton fiddler caps are available in black only.
